Our guests have access to a 12-metre swimming pool, jacuzzis (”hot pots”) on the river bank and a sauna with outdoor shower. There are hot springs around the guesthouse which are used to heat the buildings, swimming pool and sauna all year round.
It’s a unique experience to sit in a hot pot on the riverbank on a cold and starry winter’s night, or to swim in the pool after an invigorating walk with the occasional break in the sauna. And then guests can retire to warm and comfortable beds and all the adventures that await them there ...
Guests fall asleep to the murmur of the river and can start the next day by bathing in a hot pool before continuing on their journey. A geothermal sauna is not only relaxing but softens the skin, relieves fatigue and stimulates the circulation.
By Varmá and in Reykjadalur above the town there are hot springs where walkers and hikers can rest and bathe. |
